Deseos del Corazon

by Suzanne Magoon

Watching from a distance Chico and Gilberto quietly kept an eye on Mando and Suzanne.

Chico struggled as he thought it was best to be away from her, "God, I want to be with her as she breathes her final breath but I don't want to impose upon Mando's time alone with her".

Keeping an eye on her, Chico watched as Mando sadly gently brushed her hair back hoping for any chance that she could pull through this, "Suzanne, pido mi vida para ser una parte el tuyo" (I request my life to be a part of yours)

Mando sadly grasped her hand gently kissing as he cried. "There has to be some hope in that you don't leave me!"

Sadly, Chico and Gilberto walked up to Mando. "Please Mando, she is at peace. They need her to be taken to the nearest hospital."

Embracing between Chico and Gilberto Mando cried, trying to accept her dying.

Looking back, Mando witnessed her for the last time. "Mi deseos del corazon"

Sadly Chico walked out the cave with him as Mando broke down on his shoulder. "Chico, I just can't believe it, she is out of my life, our lives!" Stepping through the thick terrain, Chico didn't want to believe it either. " Mando, I do apologize for taking you away from her, but I believe it was for the best. I just couldn't bear to see her take her final breath and leave from us." Mando wiped his eyes, "I understand Chico, I want to remember her the way she was, full of life. She will live on with her children."

Mando stopped his footing as he pulled Chico back stopping him also. "Chico, I swear to God. I will do my best to raise our son Francisco as I know you will with her daughter." Mando broke down upon Chico's shoulder, "I wish she could have seen her children grow up." Sighing Chico looked up towards the evening sky. "Suzanne, I will do my best to raise our daughter Edina Louise. You will not be disappointed!"

Gilberto quickly followed behind as members of the staff helped carry Suzanne out of the cave.

"Mando!" Gilberto rushed over to him as they placed Suzanne in the vehicle taking her to the hospital.

Turning around Mando sadly faced Gilberto, "Please forgive me Mr. Rodriguez, I just couldn't. We, Chico and I just couldn't bear to see her die before us". Struggling to accept her absence Gilberto placed his hand upon his shoulder, "I'm sorry mi amigo they have indicated to me that she is gone". Sadly Gilberto embraced Mando as he cried on his shoulder. Struggling to face the present as well as his future without her, Chico tearfully comforted Mando from their sorrow of losing her.

"Please let me see her..." pulling away Mando pleaded with Gilberto. Gilberto watched his staff rush her to the hospital. "Mando, there is nothing we can do....I'm sorry".

Members of Gilberto's medical staff tried any way possible to revive her. "Her pulse has weakened.... She is not breathing" Another assistant looked at his watch, "The time of death is..."

Sighing as the staff wrote the information down, he asked what might have caused her severe fever as well as her sudden passing. "She was so young, what could of caused it to happen so quickly?" Reaching the blanket over to cover her, the other staff member remembered working with her. "I remember working with her gathering Hazelnuts. She had always mentioned the aroma had always reminded her of her two guapo hombres. One of them was Gilberto's son Francisco." Writing the information down, "Oh Chico? I heard about him and his troubles he and his girl had caused with Gilberto's family." Concerned, the staff member continued to write information of her possible cause of death, "Do you think she had consumed anything poisonous?" The other staff worker agreed, "You know it could be the factor". Reaching over to retrieve a serum he tried to inject it in her for any possible recovery. "Let's keep her covered in case she is revived and goes into shock...."

Suzanne drifted away from the darkness approaching a blinding silhouette before her. "Where am I? What is happening with me?" Suzanne's spirit stood beside a figure. "Why have I been taken away from my loved ones?" Fearing as she shielded her eyes from the brightness before her, the silhouette eased it's way forward. Suzanne turned her head, as she feared what was happening. "Please I must go back and be with my husband Mando, my children they need me!" The spirit surrounded her as she then felt comfort knowing that her children were ok. Sadden Suzanne begged for mercy amongst the spirit, "I know I have caused so much turmoil between my children's fathers, please take me back! I miss them terribly" Suzanne was guided forward as she struggled to comprehend where she was. Desperately pulling back from the force that continued to push her forward, Suzanne continued to fight her way back to her physical self. "If you return, your life Suzanne will continue to struggle with the men whom love you dearly".

Suzanne fought against the spirit, "Who ever you are I must tell you, I have followed my destiny, I know that I have. My destiny is to be with Mando. I have accepted it and so has Chico". The spirit stopped her path. "Right now your destiny has been destroyed as you still have strong feelings over your daughter's father". Suzanne became frightened over the spirit "What? How can that be? That my destiny has been destroyed over a love between two men? Both who have loved me endlessly." Taking a hold of her, the spirit spoke of her true death, "Suzanne, you died of a broken heart." Desperately trying to pull away, Suzanne struggled with her loved ones around her "Broken heart?" "Yes, your heart and soul were in between two men who wanted you wholeheartedly. Love between two men so strong that, your heart was lost without the other". Suzanne pulled away from the spirit, "I beg you to send me back! Please!" Suzanne released her hands off of the spirit as she was then let go suddenly slipping away.......

Staff workers arrived at the hospital rushing Suzanne to emergency. "Someone help us please! We've come from Rodriguez Orchards!" Doctors and Nurses were aware of the badly damaged area as well. "Is she injured from the storm?" a nurse questioned. "No! She was feeling ill with a sudden high fever!" The doctors checked her over. She seemed to have a pulse barely. "Do you have any knowledge what could of caused the fever. "We know that she worked in the hazelnut fields. She and her husband hid in the caves as the storm hit the island". The doctors concerned questioned Gilberto's staff members, "Hid in the caves? Was she with anyone else?" Staff members looked through the information they received from Gilberto, "Suzanne was with her husband throughout the storm. Later Gilberto and his son Francisco Rodriguez found them there in the cave. Why?" Noticing Suzanne taking in the fluids he couldn't help wonder about her husband as well as Gilberto and his son. "Just pray that no one else in that cave got infected with the virus".

"Are you saying something in the cave could have infected them?" Doctors scurried around prepping Suzanne up for possible testing. "Sir, it is very likely that what was in that cave could of caused a high fever along with the virus. Someone needs to investigate the cave and surrounding areas for any poisonous bacteria". Gilberto's assistant rushed out of the emergency room heading back to the vehicle. Stepping on the gas he barreled out of the parking lot onto the dirt road leading back to the orchards. Clouds of dirt lead the way back to the orchard as the assistant made his way back to the orchard farms. Quickly stopping as he jumped out of the vehicle he ran into one of the buildings looking for him. Stopping to catch his breath, as for Gilberto, " Have you seen him?..... Gilberto?"

"He's in the office"

"Gracias!" the assistant rushed over towards Gilberto's office.

The door slammed against the wall as he quickly opened it.

"Gilberto! Where are Mando and Chico! I must speak with them it's an emergency!" Gilberto rushed over towards the worker, "What's wrong? Chico, Mando and myself are aware of her passing. They headed back to the states, for her to be buried there. I have sent a messenger to have the body shipped back to East L A."

Gilberto's assistant had to get his composer as he told him the news of Suzanne's recovery.

"Gilberto.... Mr. Rodriguez, sir. Suzanne was given a serum that one of the assistants had in result of the possibility of what caused her fever and sudden death........ "

Gilberto curiously looked on at his assistant. "Go on..."

"Sir there is a chance that she may survive". Gilberto shocked sat down at his desk. " She's going to make it? I hope to God for the sake of her children she pulls through this".

Gilberto grabbed his phone and dialed western union. "Yes, I'd like to place a telegram please. To a Chico Rodriguez..."

Chico and Mando arrived back to L A saddened to now have to confront Ed and her children of her death.

Mando pulled into the garage helping Chico with his belongings.

After hearing Mando's car pull in Ed rushed down the stairs. "Chico! Welcome back!"

Ed smiled as he shook there hands becamed concerned then looked around after noticing just Mando and Chico. " Where's Suzanne?"

Ed looked around then towards the apartment. "Mando is she at the apartment already?"

Sadly Mando confronted him as Chico began to cry, "Ed. Suzanne became ill, she's....."

Chico, saddened, covered his eyes.

Ed felt concerned "She's what...Mando?"

Mando placed his hand on Ed's arm. "Ed, Suzanne passed away. She died last night of a fever."

Mando embraced Ed as he broke down crying.

Ed continued to embrace him, "Mando. I'm so sorry to hear of this," concerned for Mando's feelings.

Chico explained to him what happened, "Ed, after their wedding, there was a horrible storm that did a lot of damage to the island as well as my fathers business"

Ed concerned yet confused looked over towards Chico, "Their wedding?"

Mando saddened released from Ed as he explained what had happened after Chico's supposed wedding. "Ed I'm so sorry you have to hear this, especially from me".

Ed, concerned, grasped Mando's arm, "Mando, what happened?" Saddened from the loss of Suzanne, Mando had to confess to him, "Ed, the wedding of Suzanne and Chico, was a hoax. I paid an ex-inmate I knew from jail to pretend he was a minister, which resulted in a bogus marriage between them."

Ed sighed, "Why Mando? What caused you to do such a thing?"

Mando, saddened, lowered his head, as he couldn't bear to see Ed's disappointment.

"Ed, I approached her after she had time in the chapel with one of the local priests and I told him that I had to be with her, for we were destined for one another. Suzanne accepted her destiny as we then were married by the local priest in the village".

Ed sighed, "Mando, if it was meant to be. There's no denying it."

Ed looked over to Chico. "Ed, I was there along with my father, we witnessed the whole thing. Suzanne even told me she spoke with the priest. She told me that he helped her proclaim her destiny."

Chico sadly walked away. "As much as I couldn't accept it, I had too".

Ed sighed as he tried to accept Suzanne's death, "Where is she going to be buried?"

Ed saddened leaned against the work bench as he lowered his head, "Mando, I, I don't know what to say? First you lose your daughter Francine then to lose Suzanne."

Ed turned around facing him. "Mando if there's anything I can do.... Please me know".

Chico walked over to Mando, "Please Mando let me drive you home..." Mando graciously embraced him, "Gracias Chico, but I would like to walk home." Saddened Mando patted Chico's back then walked over to Ed's residence to take his son home.

Chico sighed, "Ed, I just can't believe she is gone. According to Mando, Suzanne and him were intimate when the storm came. He had mentioned that she had become chilled, he offered her his shirt then she just got so sick?"

Ed sighed as he watched Edina come out of the apartment. "Chico, do you want me to talk to Edina about Suzanne?" Chico saddened began to get upset as he looked over towards Edina, "Thank you Ed, but I better try to take care of this" Rising off his seat Chico placed his hand on Ed's. "Thank you for your concern".

Chico walked into the apartment. The first thing that caught his eye was a picture of Suzanne and Edina. Picking up the frame he stared at the photo, "I just can't believe you have died. I will always love you Suzanne". Placing the photo down on the shelf Chico walked over towards Edina.

Edina looked up smiling at him, "Daddy!" Reaching her hands up for him, Chico picked her up. "Edina, mi hija!" Chico hugged her, as tears ran down his cheeks.

"You cry daddy? Where's mommy?" Chico released from her as he wiped his eyes, "Edina, mi hija, your mommy has gone to heaven to be with your sister Francine"

Edina didn't understand, "Is mommy coming back?"

Chico embraced her, "Edina, mommy is in heaven. We will see when her when it is our time to go to heaven".

Edina started to become sad, "Mommy, I want my mommy!!" Edina saddened, then became angry as she continued to scream "Mommy! Mommy!"

Chico tried to comfort her as he tried to embrace her through her as she tried to push her father away, "Edina, mommy isn't coming back!"

Emotionally Chico couldn't take it anymore. With tears in his eyes he embraced her while Edina kept pushed him away. "I want mommy!"

Hearing Edina scream from outside of the apartment, Ed quickly knocked on the door and came inside. "Chico is she ok?"

Chico continued to embrace Edina as he rose up, " Edina is very upset, she wants her mommy. Edina either doesn't understand or doesn't want to accept it". Chico embraced Edina as she continued to fight her father wanting her mother. "Edina, please. Please listen...." Chico held her as Edina finally settled down.

Ed held her back as Chico quietly rocked her as he held her." Chico, I have a bad feeling Edina is going to go through a rough time dealing with this. She has had to deal with living with two different fathers. Now she is going to have to adjust without a mother or another one in her future".

Sadly Chico agreed as he remembered how it was like not having her around when Mando kidnapped her.

Chico embraced Edina, as she quietly cried, "Momma, Momma" Ed leaned down towards Chico and her, "Edina, honey. I know you miss your mommy. We all miss her". Chico lost in emotion from seeing his own daughter cry over the loss of her mother. He held her as he cried on her shoulder, " Edina Louise you are apart of your mother. Her spirit will live on in you. Please don't ever forget her".

Mando walked home as he carried his son Francisco.

Desperately trying to keep from crying he stopped to sit down on a park bench. Sitting down he rocked Francisco to sleep thinking of how life will be now without Suzanne. Struggling he began to piece the events together. "Was I to blame for all of this?" Mando remembered their wedding ceremony with the Priest in Puerto Rico. "I know we were destined to be together. Suzanne even agreed to it to in front of the Holy Priest".

Mando sighed, " I know she loved me as well as Chico" Mando concerned stood up, "God I hope the arguing that Chico and I did over her had nothing to do with it. After all she was blessed with two children".

Mando struggled with his feelings, "if I hadn't had Chico shipped to Puerto Rico none of this would of happened".

Looking up Mando desperately pleaded, "Oh God I am so sorry. I just wanted Suzanne and I to be together as a family. Is this the result of my greediness?" Mando sadly lowered his head and cried from Suzanne's loss.

Wiping his eyes, Mando sighed as he then slowly walked back to his apartment.

Arriving to his apartment Mando opened his door holding Francisco, he walked inside. "Well Francisco. We are home for good".

Sitting down on his couch Mando couldn't help but watch his son fall asleep in his arms. "Francisco mi hijo, I pray that you have your mothers spirit. She is a good wife and mother. As God as my witness, I will keep her memory alive so you will always remember her."

Mando saddened looked at Francisco as he gently rocked him while he slept. Sighing Mando just couldn't accept the fact that Suzanne was gone as he began to call her name. "Suzanne, Suzanne. I know you are still here with me. We will be together again". Rising off the couch Mando placed Francisco in his bed. Kissing him good night he wished him well.

"Beunos noches mi Francisco, Your mother will be back with us soon" Mando left Francisco's room heading back into the living room. Slowly walking back to the couch Mando looked down, as he couldn't get Suzanne out of his mind. Covering his eyes with his hands he tried to relive the past that he had with her. "Suzanne I know you are still here with me. It's like I can still feel you."

As he moved his hands he looked over towards the couch visioning her there. "Suzanne!"

Mando rushed to the couch smiling in response to seeing her. "Oh Suzanne. I'm so glad you're here. I've missed you.... I, I thought I was never going to see you again!"

Mando looking towards the opposite end of the couch envisioned Suzanne with him. Raising his hand towards her direction he placed his hand and moved it in the shape of her body

"I want to take you Suzanne along with our son and your daughter to our favorite place." Mando smiled as he envisioned the four of them together on the beaches of Cocoa Beach.

Nurses check on Suzanne's vitals as she clung to life, "Suzanne is still unconscious doctor. Her body is steadily taking in the antibiotic."

A doctor checked her pupils for any response to light. " She is responding. Now only if she becomes conscious. We could hopefully find out how this all started". The nurse assisted the doctor as she adjusted her fluids. " She is so young doctor. If only we could get the answer right away."

Sighing, the doctor agreed.

Suzanne struggled as her spirit incorporated into her own body. Feeling her spirit become one with her physical body, Suzanne began to stir. Nurses continued to monitor her vitals as they noticed a sudden change in the monitor.

"Doctor! The patient is coming out of it! "

Suzanne looked up finding a nurse and doctor recording her vitals. "Where am I?"

Adjusting her fluids the nurse spoke to her, "Ma'am, you are in the hospital. You've been through a serious high fever. We lost you. With the help of the staff at Rodriguez's orchards you were able to be revived by members of there."

Suzanne looked up, "What? I remember feeling chilled and very tired, then that is all I remember my husband, Gilberto Rodriguez and his son Chico were surrounding me, speaking in Spanish".

"Did they know that I was dying?" Suzanne thought about how Chico and Mando were embracing her, crying. "Oh God they think I'm dead!"

Feeling upset she worried how Edina was going to take the news. "My daughter has been through so much lately and now to have her own father tell her that her mother is dead".

Suzanne rose up as she then felt dizzy. The nurse quickly held her back, "I'm sorry ma'am, you're too weak to be moving around and especially be discharged out of the hospital"

Suzanne struggled, "Please, I must be with my family!" Struggling Suzanne fought with the nurse, as she became dizzy. Crawling out of bed Suzanne stood up she tried to focus as the room spun around her. "Please I have to go find my family!" Suzanne pushed her way out of the room running out heading towards the hallway.

Suzanne barely kept her balance as she tried to focus around her. Looking around the hallway a door was next to her slightly ajar, opening it up Suzanne snuck in there as she heard staff members run down the hall way looking for Suzanne.

"Where could she be?" Said a nurse.

Nurses hurried over to the other rooms as she heard the doors shut. Suzanne opened the door slightly as she then snuck out towards the stair well. Carefully Suzanne walked down the stairs leading to the main floor. Finding several doctors heading to a Women's locker room Suzanne decided to follow them in there quietly.

Carefully opening the door she witnessed shower stalls and several surgical outfits. Grabbing a top and bottom, Suzanne then hid in the shower as she quickly freshened up then changed her clothes. Feeling a bit dizzy Suzanne leaned against the changing wall, waiting for her to get herself together.

As she was feeling better Suzanne took off carefully out of the locker room. Making her way out of the hospital. Suzanne located a phone booth then looked up Rodriguez orchards, "Hola, Rodriguez Orchards" Suzanne disguised her voice, "I need to speak with Chico Rodriguez". The person on the other end sighed, "Sorry, Francisco left along with Mando to go back to the states for a personal family matter'". Suzanne wondered when they had left the island. "Sir, when did they leave?" Silence filled the air. "Francisco and Mando left yesterday". Suzanne feared the news Chico and Mando had to tell Ed. "Oh dear, Ed must be crushed. He has gone through so much lately and now this" Suzanne looked at watch as she then decided to make her way back home and face everyone her reality." Gracias!" Finding a cab, Suzanne arrived at the airport trying to make arrangements to head back to the states.

Hospital staff tried desperately to get in touch with someone at Rodriguez orchards. "This is the hospital that Suzanne Mando's wife was sent to. She was revived by your medical personal. She was admitted, administered medication for her condition and now has left the hospital without doctors approval". The staff wrote all the information down then left to look for Gilberto. Spotting Gilberto his staff member rush to him." Gilberto! Gilberto!!" Stopping he turned around to see who was calling him, "Yes, yes. What is it?" His assistant gave him the information he had just received. Reading the information he feared Chico and Mando's reaction. "It will be too late to send them a message of her arrival there. I just hope that their heart can take the shock once they see her again".

Suzanne sighed as her flight began it's descend to Los Angeles. Feeling weak from her recovery she continually thought of everyone she so missed since she had fallen ill. "God, please give us the strength to accept what we all be a part of very soon". Feeling ill Suzanne fell back into a light-headedness, feeling the effects of the dizziness she began to drift away unconsciously, "What's happening with me?" Suzanne struggled to fight her feeling of unawareness, as she closed her eyes witnessing brightness come close to her again. Approaching the light Suzanne blinded covered her eyes to shield herself of the effect. "You must not go through with this Suzanne. Your children's fathers are suffering from your loss. Your presence will only cause more grief with your children and their fathers". Suzanne physically began to stir as she fought against the spirit again. "No! I will not leave my children, and my loved ones. They are what I desire!" Suzanne continued to struggle as she fought against the spirit trying to take her away. Suddenly Suzanne physically felt someone nudge her, "Ma'am, Ma'am, We've landed in Los Angeles. Are you ok?" Suzanne frightened woke up as she then felt the spirit that tried to take her away release upon her. " Yes, Yes!" Suzanne sighed. "I've just been through so much lately. Please just give me a few minutes to get myself together". The attendant agreed as she then insisted letting someone know Suzanne was on the plane, " Thank you ma'am, but I'm not meeting anyone here". A few minutes went by as Suzanne settled down. Trying to focus on her present. Suzanne now had to figure out her future. "What will I do now?" Suzanne struggled as she made her way out of the aircraft. " I want so badly to see my children and their fathers. Yet I just can't knock on their door. Especially if they already believe that I am dead...."

Continually trying to face his future Mando couldn't bear with the thought of raising his son alone. Fidgeting around Mando could not think straight. Memories of Suzanne and her children were constantly on his mind. Sadly Mando finally accepted her death. "Suzanne, Conozo a mi dios tomare el cuidado de usted. My corazon esta siempre con usted y mi dios" (I know my God will take the care from you. My heart is always with you and my God). Sighing Mando quietly accepted the fact that somehow Suzanne was still around him. "Suzanne you are always with me. We will be with our children as they grow up."

Suzanne struggled with her feelings as she walked into the building where Mando lived. "My spirit wants me to hold back but physically my body wants me to go on." Frightened Suzanne began to fear that her next step could be her last as she carefully began walking up towards her destination. Placing her hand lightly on the door she felt as if a ghostly presence had draped over her as it touched upon her. "Oh God what could this mean?" Suzanne noticed a transparent glow to her as then realize maybe she was dreaming. "Please just let me get through this, is all I ask."

Mando heard a knock on his door. "Chico? Hold on, I'll be right there." Mando rose up walking up to the door. Opening the door Mando for the first time realize something, "Hello..." Mando speechless couldn't believe what he had witnessed, leaning against the door frame he couldn't comprehend what was before him.

"Suzanne? What? I can't believe my eyes! Suzanne! Oh My God! You're alive? Your Alive!!!" Shocked Mando smiled, as he tried to embrace her. Holding her he noticed something different about her but couldn't place it.

"Mando, things right now are not what they seem." Suzanne barely spoke

Emotionally Mando was relieved to see her. " You here with me and your Children." Mando graciously embraced her again.

A knock was heard on his door, "Now that must be Chico. He will be so excited to see you!" Eagerly Mando hurried over to the door as Suzanne began to fade away.

"Hi Mando," Chico walked in and embraced him. "Chico you're not going to believe this!" Mando smiled eagerly guiding Chico to the other room in his apartment.

"What, what Mando?" Smiling Mando looked at Chico, "She's here, she's here!"

Chico confused looked all over his apartment. "Who's here?" Mando dragged Chico into the kitchen, "Suzanne! She is in the apartment!" Mando grinned. Chico turned his back all around looking, "Mando, are you sure your feeling alright. The only people here in this apartment are you, me and your son Francisco." Mando confused motioned to Chico. "Come on, come on, I'll show you! " Mando happily dragged Mando over to the living room. "See she's right there!" Chico looked at the direction Mando was pointing at. "Mando.... All I see is an empty couch". Mando quickly walked forward, "She is right there. Beautiful as ever. Honest Chico! I swear!"

Chico didn't know what to make of Mando seeing Suzanne. "Mando, I stopped by to see how you were doing? From what I'm seeing in you, I'm glad I did". Chico sat down on the couch, "Mando, Reverend Bemis wants the two of us to get together and prepare for Suzanne's funeral service." Mando rubbed his face as he tried to make out his vision of Suzanne and her actual death. "Chico, please don't think I'm loco en la cabeza, but....". Chico rose off the couch heading in the kitchen for something for Mando and him to drink. Head back in he confronted Mando, "But what Mando?" Mando, sighing he spoke to Chico of his vision, "Chico, I know that what I seen was Suzanne. It was like she was here then she wasn't. She spoke to me." Frightened, Mando covered his face as he began to shake.

Chico concerned embraced him. "Mando, how did she look? What did she say". Mando wiped his eyes, "Chico, Suzanne said, Mando, things right now are not what they seem". Concerned yet frightened he backed away from Chico. Mando looked around noticing a light shine in from the window. Seeing a silhouette, he pointed to the direction facing the window. "Look Chico!" Chico turned around finding Suzanne stands before him, "Oh My God!" Eagerly Chico jogged to her wanting to embrace her. "Suzanne, our daughter misses you terribly!" Suzanne embraced Chico as she began to cry, "Chico I've come back as a result not being able to be a part from you, Mando or our children." Suzanne wiped her eyes. Please Chico, Mando, please what I have to tell you will effect the three of us for the rest of our lives". Mando sat closer to her. "What is it Suzanne? Please tell us" Suzanne sighed as she then had to declare her final destiny. Closing her eyes she tried to fight the feeling of being s wept away again. "Mando, Chico, I did die as you have been told to by the doctors. I recall by being lifted out of my body as I was approached by a spirit. The spirit continually tried to fight against me to take me to my final destination". Suzanne lightly embraced both of them, "Mando, Chico, the spirit had indicated that I died of a broken heart". Suzanne began to cry, "Yes Mando, I have declared to the spirit that I have followed my destiny to be with you. How ever the spirit spoke and declared that I was still torn with Chico which resulted in my broken heart." Chico placed his hand on hers. "Suzanne I have accepted your decision you know that as well as Mando". Mando held her hand too. "I know how you feel Suzanne as well as Chico". Suzanne struggled with her next comment. " Please understand that I have to keep the destiny that I have proclaimed. If I don't I know for sure I will be sent back for eternity". Chico sighed as he still had feelings for her. "So Suzanne if you follow your destiny you will be alive?" Suzanne as she not only had to fight her feelings to keep from leaving her loved ones but her feelings for Chico as well. Suzanne lightly placed her hand on top of his, "Yes Chico as indicated by the Priest and the spirit before me. I can be here upon this earth if I follow and complete my destiny". Mando felt relieved, "Suz, if the priest in Puerto Rico as well as this spirit you mentioned that spoke to you is saying that you and I are destined for one another. Since we are still married then couldn't that complete this destiny?
